2015 Beaver County Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge
These are images captured during the 2015 Beaver County Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge held at Bridgewater Landings Marina on January 24, 2015. This was our first time photographing this event as we were asked by a few friends from the New Brighton School District to come and capture a few photos of their group. Once we got here I realize this was so much more than I ever imagined. There was so much excitement and anticipation surrounding the "Plunge" that it was easy to get caught up in this incredible event and want to capture as many of the activities and participants as possible. It is my understanding that approximately 550 participants took the plunge and over $85,000 has been raised which is simply incredible.
DONATION TO BEAVER COUNTY SPECIAL OLYMPICS: The proceeds of any photo purchased from this gallery will be donated back to the Beaver County Special Olympics to help fund any future events or needs. Just like the many volunteers, sponsors and donors who make this event so special, we believe it's very important to give back to our community and support wonderful organizations such as this one.
Congratulations to the Beaver County Special Olympics for organizing such a amazing event and a big "Thank You" for letting me be a small part of it indirectly. We truly hope to continue supporting events such as this in our wonderful beautiful Beaver County. -- Joe, Kim & Brooke Sabella
