These are the images captured during a conference match up between the Lions of New Brighton and the Panthers of Riverside HS held on 10.18.13 at Oak Hill Field in New Brighton, PA. This was a very special evening at Oak Hill Field as the New Brighton celebrated "Senior Night". Each Senior Football Player, Cheerleader and Band Member walked with their parents or loved ones as they were introduced onto the field in wonderful pre-game and halftime ceremonies. As for the football game, this one was nip and tuck most of the game. New Brighton jumped out to a early lead only to have Riverside come back strong. The Lions held a slim 14-6 lead towards the end of the 3rd Quarter. New Brighton pulled ahead 20-6 in the 4th only to have the Panthers come back again and pull to within 20-12. New Brighton's defense was able to make a couple key stops as the Lions held on for the 20-12 victory. Next up for the Lions is huge conference match up with the Warriors of Mohawk to be played at Mohawk HS on 10.25.13. This game will have playoff implications where if the Lions win, they secure 3rd place in the section and a spot in the WPIAL Playoffs. Good Luck Lions!
