These are the images captured during a conference match up, and the battle for "The Jug", between the Lions of New Brighton and the Tigers of Beaver Falls HS held on 10.4.13 at Reeves Field on the campus of Geneva College. This game had all the makings of what would be a tough fought battle as both of these teams have had great seasons thus far. Beaver Falls struck on their first possession with a long touchdown run, but the Mighty Lions came right back on a long TD run by QB Peyton Fath. Both teams exchanged blows, but by halftime, it was the Fighting Tigers with a slim 18-15 lead. The 2nd half would be much different as the Lions just could not find an answer for the potent Beaver Falls running game and the Tigers went on for the 59-28 victory. Next up for the Lions is non-conference match up with the Tigers of Moon HS to be held at Oak Hill Field in New Brighton on 10.11.13. Good Luck Lions!
