These are the images captured during a conference match up between the Lions of New Brighton and the Bulldogs of Freedom HS held on 9.27.13 at Oak Hill Field in New Brighton, PA. This was a very special evening at Oak Hill Field as the MIghty Lions celebrated "Dad's Night". Each Senior and their Dad were introduced onto the field in a wonderful pre-game ceremony. As for the football game, this one was all New Brighton, all the time. New Brighton jumped out to a 14-0 lead only a couple minutes into the 1st Quarter and by the time halftime had rolled around, the Lions had mounted a 42-0 lead and the mercy rule was into effect. Freedom was able to punch through to paydirt late in the 4th Quarter as the Lions cruised to a 42-7 victory. Next up for the Lions is huge conference match up with the Fighting Tigers Beaver Falls HS to be held on Reeve's Field at Geneva College in Beaver Falls on 10.4.13. This one has all the makings of another great game between these two teams and the Lions look to bring the "Little Brown Jug" back to New Brighton once and for all. Good Luck Lions!
