Images captured during a Section match between the Lions of New Brighton HS and the Warriors of Central Valley HS held on September 29, 2012 at Central Valley High School. This was a hard fought match for New Brighton as an early goal by Steven Kalcevic was waived off by an Official due to an inadvertent whistle and they went into halftime knotted up at 0-0. Central Valley came out strong early in the 2nd half getting on the board and taking a 1-0 lead about 5 minutes into the half, but the Lions would not give up the fight. Conner Boyd netted a mishandled ball to tie the game at 1-1. With about 7 minutes left to play, Gavin Pritchard scored the game-winner off of a well-placed corner kick from Cory Jacobs. The Lions defense shut things down from there as they went on for their first section victory of the season 2-1. Well done guys and keep playing hard!
